Today I read “The story about Ping” to child[0] for the first time. It was well received! This comment explains why this tale is of interest to system administrators who are also fathers :)

Years ago I read in a book that “C programmers ofter refer to their first child as child[0]”. I would swear that it was K&R, but now that I looked it up again I could not find it :)
