The recent events of the Italian earthquake made me dig inside my Drafts pile and point to this PDF file: The Family Emergency Handbook
I just wish that something similar covering earthquakes was published here. Not that the online directions from the GSCP are bad, I just wish they were better.
We (the family) have just two rules concerning earthquakes, in the case at least one of us is together with Marianina.
1. get Marianina, be calm, go at the middle part of a room (basically close to a furniture stronge enought) and when the quake stops leave the house.
2. evaquation point is a square 50m from our block of flats. This is where we will meet again, concerning the fact that mobile phones probably will be out of service.
